Pool Table Moving Service

From $399 — Lifetime Warranty on Labor & Level — Call 770-601-8795

Moving a pool table isn't like moving furniture. A pool table is a precision instrument — three separate pieces of slate, a finely constructed cabinet, and rails calibrated to specific cushion profiles. Move it wrong and you'll spend months wondering why your shots don't roll true. Move it right and it plays better than the day it was delivered.

At Metro Billiards Service, pool table moving is all we do — and we've been doing it since 1995. Every move begins with our Tru Table inspection, a complete assessment of your table's condition before we touch it. We document what we find, fix what we can, and make sure you know the condition of your table going in and coming out.

What's Included in Every Move

Our pool table moving service is comprehensive by design. We don't just disassemble and reassemble — we do it correctly, which means taking the time to do it right rather than fast. Every move includes:

  • Complete Tru Table inspection and condition documentation
  • Full disassembly using proper techniques for your table's brand and model
  • Safe transport in our covered, padded trailer
  • Discussion of optimal placement in the new room
  • Correction of any issues found during inspection
  • Complete reassembly with precision leveling using a Starrett machinist's level
  • Pool table care and maintenance guidance
  • Lifetime warranty on labor and level

How Long Does a Pool Table Move Take?

On average, plan for 30–45 minutes to inspect, disassemble, and load your table at the origin. Reassembly at the new location typically takes 1.5–2 hours, including leveling. Total time from start to finish is usually under 3 hours, not counting drive time between locations.

3-Piece vs. 1-Piece Slate

Not sure what type of slate you have? Check the underside of your table. If you see two crossbeams running side to side across the frame, you have a 3-piece slate table — the most common configuration. One-piece slate tables are typically smaller, often 7-foot bar tables. We handle both with equal expertise.

Do I Need New Felt When I Move?

Not necessarily. Felt is reusable up to 3 times, provided it's not more than 7–10 years old and isn't torn or excessively worn. We inspect the felt as part of every move and give you an honest assessment. If your felt is borderline, we'll tell you — it's your call. See our felt color chart for replacement options.

No Stair Charges. Ever.

Many pool table moving companies tack on stair charges that can double the price of a move. We don't. Our quoted price is our price, whether your table is in a walk-out basement or up a flight of stairs.
